Establishing improvement work

Improvement work relates to systematically and in small and controlled steps improving both processes and products through enhancements of the process.

A viable improvement work requires a mental shift in the entire organization and can only be achieved through understanding. It is therefore necessary that initiatives are accompanied by a thorough training in what improvement work means for employees as well as employers and the impact it can have. In parallel, an organizational structure needs to be created that supports employees in their initiatives to handle deviations themselves.
